Not with felt pads. Without pads, any real wood floor will show marks — LVT is the more chair-tolerant spec if you don't want to think about it.

Can you fit herringbone?

Yes — engineered herringbone glued to a level subfloor, or solid herringbone over ply. Both quoted on the survey with a border option.

How long does a dining room take?
